I went through a forclosure in california and just finished moving all my belonings out except for my rv out of the backyard. The new owner is upset i took the blinds and wont make arrangements for me to go back for the rv unless he gets the blinds back. Can he do this, what r my rights?

I too am in Arizona. I was not served with foreclosure but did receive notice that my house will be auctioned on the 17th of December. I have found a new place to live and am almost all moved out. My question is, my home did not come with appliances (other than the dishwashe. Therefore, I have taken them with me. I did not take the dishwasher. Can I get into trouble?

Oct 31, 2010
I am in PA our first forclosure papers came Apr. 2010, My husband lost his pension and we cannot afford the home on soc. sec. We had a double wide built. We had it put on a foundation on our land not fully paid for. When we had the home built i did not get the kitchen stove, refrigerator or dish washer put in. I use my own. I had no ceiling lights but we had heavy duty electrical fixtures put in. I bought ceiling fans and a crystal chandlier. Can i leagly remove these from the home.
Over forclosure date in the court house was Oct, 8, 2010 it was canceled to Dec 10, 2010. We still have our old home. it needed a lot of work to sell it. We have had a lot of set backs since we moved . Can i just walk out of the new house. We cannot afford to keep two home and the bank keeps putting it off. I just want to take what i put in. I don't intend to take the water softener and water mineral conditioner we had to put in, and i don't intend to destroy the home out of malice like some people do. I will clean the home good. I just want to get out and try and get on our feet again. I tried to get my husband to do banckruptcy he said yes put never gave me papers and figures to go through with it. We did not buy thing to get in dept, it was charging medication, and other bills , and hospital bills that insurance company did not cover. It was robbing Peter to pay Paul.I am 70 he is 75 and not in the best of health. How lomg can a bank keep you hanging and putting the forclosure off. I just want out.

A year ago, we intented to redo our landscaping so I had contacted someone from FreeCycle to take the old stones and plant paving in my frontyard. But my husband got laid off, so we put the project away, now we depleted our savings and my husband still don't have a job. So we have to shortsale the house. Do I need to replace the stones and plant pavement in my frontyard? It is still livable. Any thoughts?

Hello, My home sold at auction on Jan 8,2010 in CALIFORNIA. The person who bought my home said they would rent it back but they wanted too much. They gave us till the 28th of Jan. to move out... so we did and took our stove, Refrigerator and dishwasher with us. Now they are charging me with a criminal offense because they say i stole those items. When we bought the house it didnt have any of thes items. Can I fight this? Please Advise Ray

I dont know what to do anyone help me. My bank was sooo sneaky and no help. I'm stunned. I wanted to refi due to injury as I had tons of eq in my home, & rate would be lowered, bank tinkered around slow on sendin info, kept trying to force a mod on me. Hence tinkered so long, credit score dropped, didnt qualify..right into foreclosure! I have texts from loan officer from end of July working with me yet my home was bought by same bank on June 10th?! I have mod papers sent to me in August, now sheriff putting me out Oct 26th. Broke, no one to help, no where to go, and a home full of nice new items. Having a breakdown.

My brother's house was just sold at auction on Tuesday how long does he have before he needs to move. He lives in Richmond Va and all foreclosures have stopped also any sale of foreclosures waiting to close. He is living in a dream world and I have to get him out and in somewhere before he gets locked out.

In your column you identify the differences between fixtures and personal property. But if my home is in foreclosure and soon to be taken back by the bank, why shouldn't I sell any fixtures I can such as my dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, built-in wine cooler, etc.?
If the bank is not getting their mortgage from me are you advising me that I need to worry about them trying to collect on these so-called damages due to these fixtures being removed?
Thanks!

My home is in forclosure and I am taking the fencing that surounds my 3.3 acre property. Is that legal in the State of Washington?
